Fruit Smoothie

This 'Fruit Smoothie' is a big hit with the family.
It doesn't seem to matter that we are in the midst of yet another bitter cold snap. I am asked to make these in any weather.
This is a quick and easy recipe that happens to be good for you.

Now, onto the recipe...

Fruit Smoothie

Makes 1 Serving

- 5 Ice Cubes
- 1/2 cup Frozen Blueberries - My favorite is Maine Wild Blueberries
- 1/2 Frozen Banana
- 5 Frozen Strawberries
- 1 cup Orange Juice
- 1/4 cup Coconut Yogurt - Flavor of your choice

Place Ice Cubes in high speed blender, followed by remaining ingredients. Pulse blend until smooth. The combination of ice and frozen fruits results in a thick smoothie.

For a 'sorbet' consistency, add additional ice and blend.

A simple recipe with the added benefit of being filled with healthy ingredients. Enjoy!

A Couple More Phone Wallets

I had such fun making my Cell Phone Wallet that I decided to make a couple more. I made some slight variationss from the first version.
Fabric loops and D-Rings were placed at different positions on these two new wallets. I probably won't use a wristlet strap, but have the option of adding one later if I change my mind.
A geometric black and white print was used for the exterior of this clutch.
In keeping my faith, a cross serves as a reminder of 'His' love.
The interior lining fabric continues the black and white color scheme.
A chevron print was used for the pockets.
This next clutch was made with a gray and white print that caught my eye.
Sweet angel wings adorns this carryall.
A gray and white chevron print lines the wallet....
....and a darker gray print was used for the pockets. In case you were wondering, the pattern is from Shawna Lane Designs.
Fabric choices really do change the overall appearance of the wallet. I lean toward neutral and soft shades these days and my trio of wallets reflect that.

Scenes from the Road 8 - New Hampshire Barns

Like so many others across the country, we have had yet another round of winter snow. Some have had their fill, but I continue to revel in the beauty of nature.

Out and about in our beautiful state of New Hampshire, we come across some lovely old barns. This one really stole my heart with it's simple cupola and metal roof.

The stark contrast of the brick red clapboards against the bright white snow create a quintessential New England winter scene.

The massive barns adjoins the house and solid granite posts line the driveway.

The main house is a feast for the eyes. The house and trim are painted in a grayish green while the window sashes and door are trimmed out in the same brick red as the barn.

The elaborate architectural trim surrounding the front door is softened with the paint choices and keeps it from overwhelming the house.

This separate barn was just past the others set out in a snow covered field.

As we continued our drive, we came across another lovely barn with a view that goes on forever.

On closer inspection, we saw that it was actually a newly built barn/home with the traditional features of a vintage barn. I love its rustic beauty.

There are so many wonderful old barns here in New Hampshire and seeing them blanketed in their winter coats makes me appreciate them that much more.
