Saturday Sparks Link Party 285

Welcome to Saturday Sparks 285!

I thought I'd start off this weeks party with a couple shots captured from one of our game cameras.

Mama bear is crossing a section of our very long driveway...

...with the sweetest little baby bear in tow.

We may have just missed each other, as I walk this way each morning.

As much as I would have loved to have seen them,  I know it was a blessing that we didn't cross paths.

Have you had a close encounter with wild life?

"If you can reach out and touch and love and be with wildlife, you will forever be changed, and you will want to make the world a better place."

~ Terri Irwin

  1. Suzanne, be careful on your walks, a mama bear with her cub is fearsome. Thank you so much for featuring my Picnic In The Country. Have a wonderful weekend!

  2. Wow - great bear pictures! We saw a bear near our house last summer but mostly we just see deer. I wasn't happy that the bear was so close to our neighborhood...scary! Thanks for hosting and enjoy your weekend!

  3. OMG that is sooooo cute! In my country we don't have bears. Actyually we don't have any dangerous wildlife. It's a bit sad actually. But recently there is a lot of commotion and joy because there are 2 wolves and is is a very very long time ago since there was one overhere.

  4. I would prefer not to ever come face to face with a mama bear, watching from a safe distance would be great! LOL Have a wonderful weekend, Suzanne. :)

  8. This morning I'm enjoying coffee on the porch with a view of my little black "cup", my Scottie dog --- that's the wildest thing other than deer I'll see at home! Loved your photos! Also wanted to thank you for sharing my Iceland post. No beers there either, just lots and lots of sheep and horses.

  9. Hello Suzanne! I think you're right; it's better NOT to cross paths with Mama Bear. I still remember a terrible tragedy that happened to a woman runner in Northern California who accidentally ran between a mother bear and her cub ~ made the national news... :( However, from the house or car window, game on!!! :D

It's been a while since I've stopped over and I wanted to make sure and first say, Thank You for hosting!!! I do enjoy seeing what you and everyone has been up to, especially since we are heading into harvest time and early fall. Really my favorite time of the year with cooler weather coming in and being able to bring out the long sleeved t-shirts and light sweaters for evening walks... Ahhhhh! With that, I've just attempted to work with layers of chalk paint on a little nightstand. Hope you and your readers enjoy this first part, Antiquing with Chalk Paint.

    Have a great weekend!
    Hugs,
    Barb :)

  11. Thank you so much for featuring my artwork! It's my favorite new thing (at the moment). The bears are so beautiful. We have game cameras but usually only see deer and herons. We do get the occasional fox and coyote, but bears are not likely to be seen here. I'd probably be scared to go outside if I saw a bear!
