Simple Minimalist Christmas Decor

I chose to use a light hand for our Christmas decor this year.

My goal was to emanate the joy of the season, but in a simple, minimalist style.

I gathered a few simple objects that spoke to me and arranged them into modest vignettes.

In my mind, less truly is more.

There was a time when I felt overwhelmed during the holidays.

Over the years,  I learned how to calm my inner self.

I discovered that keeping things simple was the key.

Now, I am able to focus on the things that really matter....

....and that has made all the difference in the world.

May the spirit of Christmas surround you now and all through the year.

    3. Hi Lalka - You are still coming up as a 'no reply blogger' which means your email is not linked to your account, so I can't reply back to you privately. It's a simple fix. : )
There are several tutorials out there - here is one that I found:

  4. Just lovely. So peaceful and soothing. I envy your calm. My decorating has become so complex and time consuming. But I hate to exclude any of the decorations that evoke many wonderful memories. Plus, when my parents downsized, I inherited many more nutcrackers, etc. hard to part with them.

    1. Thank-you! It is difficult to part with things that bring about fond memories. In my case, I knew that I wanted to lighten the load, so I pared down by keeping only those items that I really truly loved. If I buy something new, I will donate or toss something else. We all have different tastes and I suppose that's what makes the world go round. : )

    1. Thanks Kippi! In my eyes, wood brings warmth and adding in a touch of nature is always a good thing! Glad to hear you liked my 'less is more' approach.
