Saturday Sparks Link Party 619

Welcome to Saturday Sparks 619!

Starting off todays party with a sweet surprise!

I came home the other day to a lovely spray of lilacs that DH had cut for me.

After all these years together, we know each other so well.

He knows I prefer wildflowers over more formal bouquets and that lilacs are by far my favorite cut flower.

Our house is filled with its intoxicating scent and my heart is filled with gratitude.

"It's the little things that make happy moments, not the grand events. Joy comes in sips, not gulps."

~ Sharon Draper

Your patriotic table setting is just perfect! Enjoy this beautiful long weekend, my friend ~ Suzanne.

  6. Lilacs are some of my favorite flowers, as well, but they are hard to grow where I live now. I have been encouraging three plants for about six years now and have gotten some nice blooms this year. I'll keep on trying. thanks so much for the feature for "on the Road". m It was a fun start to our trip to my neice's wedding. Have a great week.

    1. Thanks, Lynne! Our cooler climate does have it's advantages from time to time! It's nice that after all your diligent work, you are enjoying lilacs. Once you've brought fresh cut lilacs into your home, you will be hooked for life on their sweet scent. Enjoy ~ Suzanne.
