Saturday Sparks Link Party 406

Welcome to Saturday Sparks 406!

Starting off today's party with some wild turkeys enjoying our half and half yard.

Wild Turkeys at Pieced Pastimes

What a difference a day makes.

We went from having a couple feet of the white stuff to this, the result of a heavy rain Christmas Eve and Christmas day.

The wildlife is on the move and taking advantage of the snow melt.

I've been worried for them, wondering how they would manage with the deep snow cover.

It does my heart good to see them doing so well.

A Peaceful and Minimalist Christmas for 2020

Welcome to our minimalist Christmas home.

Minimalist Christmas Decor at Pieced Pastimes

As you may know, my take on Christmas decorating is on a much smaller scale than most.

Things are kept to a minimum, but the season is celebrated with every bit as much joy!

Simple vignettes are created with a mix of tried and true objects and on occasion, something new.

Uncomplicated groupings that reflect the season at hand.

Winters are beautiful, but long here in New Hampshire.

More often than not, I find myself craving the sun.

We built this home knowing that we wanted an open, bright space and that works in my favor.

The light calms my spirt and the simplicity keeps me focused on the things that truly matter.

Keeping that in mind and that Christmas is a time for peace, it seems only natural to have that reflected in our home.

May the blessings of the season fill your heart and home.

Saturday Sparks Link Party 405

Welcome to Saturday Sparks 405!

Starting off today's party with the calm after the storm.

Snowy Landscape at Pieced Pastimes

As you can see, it snowed here yesterday.

We got upwards of two feet this time around.

Just west of us, some places got as much as 42" of the white stuff.

It's funny to think that 24" of snow is considered being spared!

Now, let's get this party started.
