Postponement of this weeks party

Time got away from me this week and I haven't had a chance to write up or post the party, so I am going to postpone it until next week. Sorry for the delay.

In the midst of our busy days, we passed this sweet deer in our travels. There were actually two of them, one crossed the road in front of us and this one waited cautiously until we drove past before joining his friend on the other side. Seeing them is always such a blessing!

Saturday Sparks Link Party 410

Starting off today's party with our sweet Sophie!

Our sweet pomeranian, Sophie at Pieced Pastimes

She turned 14 in November and is showing signs of her age.

She is nearly deaf.

Arthritis has settled in and taken hold - some days are better than others.

Gone are the days of jumping on and off the couch or bed.

On top of all of this, she has been sick for the past couple of days.

In the midst of all her struggles, she remains the sweetest thing you could ever ask for.

We find ourselves loving on her a bit more lately.

Icy Driveway Accident at Pieced Pastimes

This photo popped up in my feed the other day and immediately took me back to that day.

While our winters are beautiful here, they can also be challenging at times.

In February of 2019, a combination of snow, cold temperatures and freezing rain left our part of the state covered in a heavy glaze of ice.

Darling hubby was plowing the driveway when in the blink of an eye, the blade caught a mound of ice, which abruptly spun the truck around and down the banking.

By the grace of God, the edge of the truck body caught the only tree standing between it and the icy pond below by a mere inch!

This truly was a 'count your blessings' moment.
