Whereas the colors of Autumn are abundant, I opted for a quieter rendition for our home decor.
In keeping with my 'less is more' mindset, a gathering of simple objects welcomes the new season.
Blades of wheat are tucked in a saved amber jar and framed owl photos capture the wilds of nature.
For those of you that are interested, this is a before and after of our wall unit that I just painted. As with life, I hemmed and hawed as to taking on the challenge, but I finally gave in. I still like the old wood cabinetry, but I love the brighter painted version much more.

...... a framed piece of linen and a tiny bundle of wheat tucked into a grapevine wreath - foraged pieces that mimic nature.
The owl theme continued onto the coffee table.
Another change in our living room is this new cross wall. I have been collecting them for a while and wanted to incorporate the crucifix from my grandmothers casket into the mix.
It turned out just as I hoped it would - a quiet homage to my faith.
