Welcome to Saturday Sparks 349!
Starting off todays party with a defiant breakfast choice.
I normally save cold dishes for hot days, but this particular morning was anything but.
Our days of late have been quite chilly.
Fall is flying by and winter will soon take its place.
Here I sit, not quite ready to let go.
It seems Mother Nature has other plans.
This smoothie bowl was my attempt to slow things down - a protest of what's to come.
A losing battle perhaps, but a delicious end result.
And, now the recipe...
Chocolate Smoothie Bowl
1 Frozen Banana
1/2 Avocado
1 tbsp Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
2 tsp Pure Maple Syrup (Optional)
1 tsp Vanilla
..
Place all ingredients in a high speed blender. Add ice for a thicker consistency and blend. Pour into a bowl and add desired toppings. I topped mine with Strawberries, Blueberries, Granola, Hemp Seeds, Goji Berries and a drizzle of melted Peanut Butter.
