Welcome to Saturday Sparks 523!
Starting off today's party with this situation!
This baby skunk has been roaming our property lately.
The mom shows herself at night, but this little one wanders about at all hours.
The other day, darling hubby (DH) decided to push his luck and attempt to feed it some carrots.
It lingered near him for a while before wandering off into the woods, seemingly unfazed by DH's presence.
Luckily for DH, there was no spraying of any kind.
His moment of tempting fate was reprieved by the innocence of this young creature.
"I've never met an animal I didn't like, and I can't say the same thing about people."

ReplyDeleteI'm reading about your husband and saying to myself- oh no this will not end well ! I 'm glad he can still come in the house now. Those babies are so cute I can't blame him.

As always, I am happy to host, Lisa. DH has a no fear attitude in life, so this little episode didn't surprise me. It keeps life interesting if nothing else. 😊 All my best ~ Suzanne.
DeleteThank you Suzanne! And what a great thing you have a baby skunk visiting your garden! We don't have skuns in our country.
ReplyDeleteYou are very welcome! It's always such a treat to see God's creature's in their natural habitats, such as our skunk and your seal. Have a great week ~ Suzanne.

Oh! Your hubby is so lucky he didn't get sprayed. The baby is adorable. Thank you for hosting & have a great weekend. XO- MaryJo
ReplyDeleteAgreed, MaryJo! When DH headed out with the carrots, my first thought was 'Oh boy - here we go'! 😊 Sending you much sunshine ~ Suzanne.
DeleteGlad your hubby didn't get sprayed. Thanks for hosting and I hope that you have a wonderful week.
ReplyDeleteAs am I! 😁 Happy Summer ~ Suzanne.
DeleteGosh, I'm so late to the party this week! On our security camera I discovered video of footage of my husband walking around our flower bed at dusk to check on our water fountain and unbeknownst to him a little skunk walking parallel about two feet away. He's lucky he didn't get sprayed. It was funny to watch on camera though.
ReplyDeleteGlad you were able to make it to the party, Marie. Sound like your husband had a close call. It's always a surprise to see what our camera's capture. Take care my friend ~ Suzanne.
