Saturday Sparks Link Party 578

Welcome to Saturday Sparks 578!

Starting off today's party with some sad news.

Sweet Sophie 11/27/06 - 8/18/23 ~ Forever in our hearts.

Our sweet Sophie crossed over the rainbow bridge yesterday and our hearts our broken.

We knew it was coming, but knowing doesn't soften the blow.

I hesitated having the party today, but looking through the links served as a great distraction from the void that now fills our home.

A lovey vase of roses brought to us by our ever thoughtful grown children.

They say that God sends angels to us in the form of dogs.

Every ounce of Sophie confirmed this to be true.

She loved without abandon.

Living her best life was simply being around those of us who loved her and we were blessed beyond measure to have had her for all these years.

Fly high, sweet girl.

"I loved you your whole life and I'll miss you for the rest of mine."

  6. Aww, I'm so sorry for your loss. I have two girls, they are around me at all times, even when I'm cooking they hang in the kitchen with me. I couldn't even imagine life without them. But try to think that she's on the other side of the rainbow now, happy and hanging out with her mates. I am sure there must be a dog heaven somewhere, untill we meet again with our pooches. And thank you so much for featuring our tiramisu and for hosting the party. I love being here, there's always something interesting to find. Big hugs from us and wishing you a beautiful and happy sunday!

    1. Thank-you, Rita. We gave Sophie plenty of extra love and attention in the weeks before she left us and we knew when it was time to let her go. I'm sure she's keeping a watchful eye on us now, in between wrestling with her boy Charlie. 😊 With much appreciation ~ Suzanne.

  16. I am so sorry for your loss. It's so hard. We lost our Bailey earlier this year and you are right. Nothing ever prepares you. Our house was so quiet without her and we have since filled it back up with a puppy. Those first few weeks are hard. I will be thinking about you. 💛🙏🏼. XO- MaryJo
