Saturday Sparks Link Party 628

Welcome to Saturday Sparks 628!

Starting off todays party with a flock of wild turkeys!

Severe thunderstorm alerts are commonplace this time of year and we had several the other day.

We are able to watch the storms roll in from the ridge and I was doing just that when I spotted this gaggle of turkeys and their babies.

They have been visiting off and on since May.

The babies have grown so much.

They normally stay hidden in the meadow, so it was a real treat to see them out in the open.

They must have sensed the storm brewing as they were making a run for the woods

One quick snapshot and they were gone.

    1. Yes, I have seen them fly Debra! They look very strange flying as they are so bottom heavy. They roost in trees at night, so we will watch for them as the dusk settles in to see them take off. It's a sight to see, that's for sure. Happy July ~ Suzanne.

  11. We live at the beach so wild turkeys aren't a common sight, but sometimes if we're lucky they do wander into our neck of the woods. You live in a beautiful area. It's no wonder why they call it home!
