My journey back into the world of hand embroidery continues with this, my latest project, 'Floral Moon'.
It thought it had an early fall feel to it, perfect timing for September.
This piece was a challenge as it was a PDF design with an AI generated image only and had no instructions (as was disclosed).
I had to fend for myself regarding color selection, number of strands and choice of stitches.
After much determination (as in stitching, ripping and re-stitching), I am happy with the finished piece and I learned quite a bit.
More importantly, the hurried pace of life was lost within each stitch.
Oh, Suzanne! That's absolutely beautiful! It has a calming effect just looking at it. I love it!
ReplyDeleteAwe, thanks Rita! I did a lot of 'stitching and staring' with this one 😀 and the OCD in me had me restitch several parts, but I am really pleased with the overall finish. Looking forward to starting on the next one. Appreciate your sweet comment, as always ~ Suzanne.
DeleteYour "Floral Moon" embroidery really captures the essence of early fall—so delicate and full of warmth. I love how you embraced the challenge of working without instructions and made it your own with careful color choices and stitch work. It’s great to see your creativity and determination shine through in the final piece. Definitely an achievement to be proud of! Thanks for sharing your journey; it’s motivating to see how much can be learned and accomplished through perseverance. Looking forward to seeing more of your stunning creations!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Anna! It's always nice to hear when someone likes something you've created and even nicer to think that you have inspired them. Wishing you a lovely week ~ Suzanne.

ReplyDeleteThank-you, Pam! I loved this design but hesitated getting it as it had no pattern or instructions. Now that it's finished, I am happy that I pushed myself to take on the challenge. Much appreciated, your friend ~ Suzanne.
