Welcome to Saturday Sparks 654!
Starting off todays party with a little shakeup!
You may have heard about an earthquake in our area the other day.
It was a magnitude 3.8 - not huge, but it did shake the house.
Apparently, it shook DH's church too.
Shook, as in moved it a good 2' from where it was originally.
It's currently sitting on an axle so that it can be moved come spring to its permanent home.
It's no worse for wear and DH was able to move it back into place.
Mother Nature never ceases to surprise.

Goodness, Suzanne! I did hear about the earthquake and I imagine that it was a bit unsettling for everyone in the area! There have been way to many unusual natural occurrences during the last month! Thanks for hosting us all! Wishing you a Happy February!
ReplyDeleteThe shaking of our house was more of a 'what the heck is that' moment, Laura. 😊 Mother Nature has a way of getting your attention, that's for sure. Hope your week is filled with smiles ~ Suzanne.

Happy to host, Deb! Wishing you a lovely week ~ Suzanne.
DeleteI can't wait to see where the church will be settled! I love that photo, so simple and powerful at the same time. Thanks so for hosting, have a great week ahead. Melynda @scratchmadefood!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Melynda! We weren't sure where we wanted to put the church and an early snow put DH's plans of moving it around on hold until spring. We may even keep it where it is, as it's kind of grown on us. Time will tell. All my best ~ Suzanne.
DeleteThank you for hosting! I'm so glad your church (& your home) wasn't damaged in the earthquake. DH should be proud that he built something so sturdy!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Virginia! Luckily, DH tends to 'overbuild' all of his projects. It worked in his favor for this one. 😊 Wishing you a sun filled week ~ Suzanne.
DeleteOh my, Suzanne I am so glad the earthquake didn’t damage your house or the church. Thanks so much for hosting and featuring my 12 Valentine’s Day Tablescapes. Wishing you a wonderful week, my friend!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Pam! In the world of earthquakes, I'm sure ours was considered a tiny blip on the radar. Happy to feature your Valentine's Day Tablescapes - all of them are beautiful! Hope February brings you all good things, my friend ~ Suzanne.
DeleteGoodness, Suzanne! I guess with so much other news and weather this past week, I was not aware of the earthquake in your region! Wow, that's something re: DH's church movement! As much as we try, we are shown time and again we are not in control! Nonetheless, Happy February!
ReplyDeleteYes Rita, current events are all over the place lately. I am sure our minor earthquake ranked pretty low on the newsworthy scale. Wishing you a beautiful week, my friend ~ Suzanne.
