Welcome to Saturday Sparks 659!
Starting off today's party with some late winter guests!
Our world is still covered in snow, save for this one small patch of exposed grass.
These horned larks were foraging the spot as the falling snow threatened to hide their discovery.
Sleeping fields are a common habitat for them in winter and this is the start of their nesting season.
I am hoping to perhaps see little ones in our future.
If I do, know that I will share.
"That's what winter is: an excercise in remembering how to still yourself then how to come pliantly back to life again."
