Welcome to Saturday Sparks 722!
Starting off today's party with a surprise guest!
After a long winter without them, they've reminded us that they are back, ready or not.
We've seen them several times over the past few weeks, strolling about like they own the place.
Love seeing them, albeit from a distance.

Hello Suzanne, I would definitely be watching bears from a distance! I know one day they will appear on one of our trail cameras. Many have been reported near us. Thank so much for hosting and for featuring my America is 250: Let’s Celebrate. Wishing you a wonderful week my friend!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Pam! It's always a surprise to see the bears lumbering about. Fingers crossed that you are able to experience them (from a distance) in your area. Your tablescape celebrating Americas' 250th is perfectly patriotic. Thanks for the inspiration. Have a beautiful week, my friend ~ Suzanne.
DeleteThe black bears have been active this spring/summer in our area, too - even in the suburban neighborhoods! Thanks for hosting us all!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Laura! Hope you are able to enjoy the majestic beauty of the black bears as they travel your area. They are a sight to see. Many smiles ~ Suzanne.
DeleteThank you so much for featuring my Denim Monstera Plant. How lovely to see bears in the wild.
ReplyDeleteHappy to feature you, Claire! It's always fun to see your latest denim project and this Monstera Plant is a beauty. Glad you enjoyed my bear photo and yes, it's lovely to see them. All my best ~ Suzanne.
DeleteOh my, I can't imagine living in an area where you see bears a lot, although I know we have them too! Thanks for the party.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Amy! They are fascinatng creatures, for sure. Happy June ~ Suzanne.
DeleteThanks for hosting and happy Sunday.

Happy to hose, Amalia! Have a great week ~ Suzanne.
DeleteHow neat it is to see a bear. That's definitely not something I would see in Kansas, unless at a zoo!
ReplyDeleteThank you for hosting. I shared #17.
All the best.

Thanks, Debra! They are cool to see, so long as they keep their distance. Many smiles ~ Suzanne.
DeleteYikes, as far as I'd be concerned, the bear DO own the place! That's a pretty big 'un! Thank you for featuring my post and our Capitol. You see those hills behind it? They're also on the opposite side of the river (not pictured), and we have lots of black bears roaming in residential hill sections of town. It is our state animal. My sister-in-law's golden was attacked by a rather thin black bear (about 250#) on their own property about six years ago. My brother-in-law always hiked his property with his dog beside him. He always carried his bow, and had one arrow. The DNR had no issue with his self-defense. The golden retriever recovered, but had extensive surgery.
ReplyDeleteLoved the earrings and denim monstera plant, how cool! Hoping you have a great new week ahead, Suzanne.
Thanks, Rita! This bear was a good size. They tend to use our property as a pass through, which is fine by me. That's sad about the golden, but I'm glad to know it recovered. I am always mindful when outside with our little fur balls for not only the bears, but the coyotes as well. This was their home long before it was ours. Loved your 250th Celebration post. The collection of founding fathers alongside that beautiful brass eagle really stood out for me. Wishing you a lovely week, my friend ~ Suzanne.
DeleteLes ours pour ma part, je préfère les voir de loin ....
ReplyDeleteYes, from a distance is always best Kwarkito! Have a great week ~ Suzanne.
DeleteWoah! Really awesome to see but also kind of scary!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Alexandra! They are such magnificent creatures. They don't bother us, so long as we don't bother them. Many smiles ~ Suzanne.
