Welcome to Saturday Sparks 376!
Starting off todays party with some thoughts on our kinship with nature.
Our window into the wild allows us to observe nature up close and personal.
I am always fascinated by the behaviors of the different creatures that pass through here.
Our Canadian Geese have been coming by a bit more often.
They seem almost too friendly, as if someone may have been feeding them - or perhaps, it's just their nature.
They are considered to be a nuisance for many people, but we haven't had any issues so far.
We will see a pair, or perhaps a group of four at a time, but no more than that.
While watching them, I have noticed that one always stands at attention while the others graze - it's long neck fully extended and eyes laser focused on the world around them.
It seems too, that they take turns in this guarding position.
I looked up their traits and sure enough, it said just that. One of them will act as the sentinel to alert the others of any possible threats.
The geese are akin to the 'all things Corona' world we currently live in.
We are all flocked together with our closest family members, mindful of all things around us and standing at the ready to care and protect each other.
Now, let's get this party started.

ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Suzanne, for featuring my new home office space! xo Our home has a green belt behind it and flocks of Canadian Geese have taken up residence. They will chase you when you invade their space, making leaving the yard from our back gate a little interesting. Their honks are also our morning wake up call. LOL Stay safe and have a great Memorial Day weekend!
