Saturday Sparks Link Party 421

Welcome to Saturday Sparks 421!

Starting off today's party with never ending guard duty.

Birds on Guard Duty at Pieced Pastimes

It is striking how animals instinctively protect each other.

Much time is spent as sentries, a necessity for survival.

Ever mindful of their surroundings.

Ever mindful of the precious cargo beside them.

There is so much to be gained from the study of nature.

"We don't inherit the earth from our ancestors, we borrow it from our children."

~ Native American Proverb

Now, let's get this party started.

  15. Visiting the party later than usual this week. Your photo reminded me of the other day when entering a busy medical building and noticed a goose sitting on her nest in a flower pot within inches of the door. She was perfectly calm with the constant stream of people coming and going beside her.

    1. That is interesting, Marie. Some seem to be more tame around people than others. I assume some of them have been fed at some point and are lacking their normally cautious demeanor. It seems that one sitting on a nest would be especially anxious. Have a wonderful week my friend, Suzanne.
