Welcome to Saturday Sparks 426!
Starting off today's party with a continuing spring theme.
In the past few weeks, I have shared with you the newly born Canadian geese goslings and the wild turkey poults. Today is all about the snapping turtles. Each year, they venture from the pond, up the hill and onto our front field where they dig holes and lay their eggs. We have witnessed four so far this year.
They have the most amazing eyes!
One can only marvel at the wonders of nature!
First up, the Fabulous Features from Saturday Sparks 425.

Suzanne, the snapping turtle, wow! Thank you for hosting and have a wonderful weekend!
ReplyDeleteHi Pam! We always look forward to our annual turtle visits. All my best, Suzanne.
DeleteLooks like you really get a lot of nature out where you are. :) Thanks for hosting us as well as featuring my Balsamic Strawberry Gelato - it's one of my favorites, and I hope you enjoy it as much as we did! This week, I brought by some Lemony Pasta with Capers and Greens this week - it's a quick, light, and refreshing pasta. :)
ReplyDeleteOne of our favorite things about our place is the amount of wildlife that visit us here, CJ. Nature never fails to surprise us. Your Gelato sounds delicious and I was happy to feature it. Take care, Suzanne.
DeleteThank you so much for hosting. Have a wonderful weekend!
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting, great features :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for taking the time to host this charming party every week! I appreciate the time and effort that you put into it! Stay safe, healthy and happy!!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Debbie
Thank you for hosting the party.
ReplyDeleteWe have a lake full of turtles. They love to hang around our dock when the fish feeder goes off every afternoon. They range from tiny to huge!
How fun it must be to watch the turtles from your dock, Virginia. Enjoy your week, Suzanne.
DeleteOops there was a glitch so I hope you're not getting this twice. How glorious that you are surrounded by such beautiful nature. Something I long for here in the concrete jungle. Wishing you a beautiful Sunday, Suzanne!
ReplyDeleteWe really do enjoy living with nature, Marie. Living in the country is not for everyone, but it's high on our list. All my best to you, Suzanne.
DeleteThanks so much for hosting this link-up. Today I added a few recipes from Homemade on a Weeknight - enjoy!
ReplyDeleteFirst time joining in! Thank you for hosting
ReplyDeleteWelcome Pat! Always nice to have a new guest at the party. Have a great week, Suzanne.
DeleteWow, what a wonderful place you live, Suzanne, that you can see so much nature! I LOVE the pictures about your snapping turtles!! By the way, thank you so much for featuring my story about D'Artagnan, my Shire horse! I hope you have an awesome week!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Tee xo
Thanks, Tee! We love it here and seeing all the wildlife is icing on the cake for us. What a majestic creature your horse is. It was nice to read about his adventurous life and that he is now enjoying retirement. Give him an extra carrot for me! Take care, Suzanne.
DeleteYour beautiful pictures have reminded me of a story my father used to tell me. He was born and raised in Oklahoma, so he would say if a snapping turtle snaps on your finger, he won't let go until dark!!
ReplyDeleteThank-you! Glad to hear my photos reminded you of your father's story. I wouldn't want to get latched onto by a snapping turtle, but they are amazing creatures! Have a wonderful week, Suzanne.
DeleteThat is so cool that you have snapping turtles come up. Very nice. Thanks for hosting and I hope that you have a wonderful week.
ReplyDeleteIt is cool and we love watching their annual migration. Thanks for linking up. Warmest regards, Suzanne.
