Saturday Sparks Link Party 427

Welcome to Saturday Sparks 427!

Starting off today's party with a sneak peak of a much needed creative break.

Quilt in Progress at Pieced Pastimes

Life takes us in many different directions and we adjust to the ebb and flow, but there are times we find ourselves needing to veer off course in order to bring back balance.

In recent days, such was the case for me.

We've had one too many irons in the fire lately and I was in need of a pause.

This quilted WIP (work in progress) was my reset button.

I pieced the top several years ago, and it's been in the cue patiently waiting its turn to be brought to life with stitches of thread.

Hello, old friend!

"Solitude is creativity's best friend, and solitude is refreshment for our souls."

~ Naomi Judd

Now, let's get this party started.

    1. Awe, thanks Rita! It's amazing how relaxing I find quilting, especially when I've been away from it for a while. It's been a busy, but beautiful Summer for us. Take care my friend, Suzanne.

    2. And I know this sounds strange, but I could sit all day and crunch numbers but don't have the patience for slow stitching!

    3. From someone who finds bookkeeping the bane of my existence, it's a good thing there are others out there that feel like you. It's our differences that keep the world going round.

  7. "Solitude is creativities best friend", love that! Kudos to you for hitting the reset button, Suzanne. I'm doing a bit of the same but instead of having the courage to give myself that gift, like you, painful tendonitis is forcing me to. Thank you so much for the MCM nursery dresser feature, Suzanne! Wishing you a beautiful Sunday.xo
