This is one of those 'one thing leads to another' projects.
As I previously said, I loved the simplicity and ease of making my Rope Bowl and Coasters - so much so, that I am back at it with a new adventure.
I go to the farmers market most weekends in the summer and it seemed like the perfect excuse to make myself a new tote bag.
And, so I did.
In contrast to the round rope bowl and coaster, I started this bag with a long oval shape and then continued sewing around to create the base of the bag.
Once I was satisfied with the size of the bottom, I started shaping the sides by holding the base up against the sides of my machine as I continued to sew. In no time, I had myself a completed bag.
I was eagerly awaiting the farmers market season, but now even more so.
Fantastic, Suzanne! I love your bag!
ReplyDeleteThank-you, Rita! I am happy with how it turned out and am looking forward to putting it to good use. Have a great week, Suzanne.
DeleteThat is so beautiful! I love your work.
ReplyDeleteYears ago I made a few things like that but got busy and
forgot how much I enjoyed it. Keep up the good work.
Dolly
Thanks so much, Dolly! I am well aware of life getting busy. I have to remind myself to stop and take the time to create once in a while. It does me a world of good. Many smiles, Suzanne.

ReplyDeleteThanks, Suzan! It is fun to imagine all the different things you can create. I really like the organic look and feel of the sewn rope. All my best, Suzanne.
