Saturday Sparks Link Party 524

Welcome to Saturday Sparks 524!

Starting off today's party with some mid summer vibes!

We are in the midst of a heat wave here in New Hampshire.

Our a/c has been working overtime to keep up.

Not that I'm complaining, though.

I am enjoying this warm hot weather.

Our summers are short here.

Cooler temperatures, falling leaves and dare I say snow will be here in the blink of an eye.

We are savoring the season at hand, in all its hot, sticky glory.

"In summer, the song sings itself."

~ William Carlos Williams

Also, as a reminder the new Inspirations Link Party has started and will be open through the 25th giving you plenty of time to linkup.

  1. I've got mid-summer vibes going on here too, Suzanne - in the garden. Our summer (and other seasons) pretty much follow the calendar, so it's been nice. Even when it's too hot to be outside midday, mornings and evenings are nice (for weeding and sitting, respectively). Summer storms are pretty much handling watering at this point. Have a great weekend, and thanks for posting the features, which I'm off to visit.

    1. Glad to hear I'm in good company, Rita! Spending time in the garden is one of the best things of summer. We have had some doozy thunderstorms the past few days that as you say, are taking care of our watering. Wishing you a beautiful week ~ Suzanne.

  3. Hello Suzanne. Living in NE AL, our summers are always hot and humid, but as I get older they seem to bother me more. Thanks for hosting and for the lovely features. Happy Weekend!

    1. Hi Pam. Luckily, we don't have a lot of hot, humid days here. I suspect that if we did, it would get old quick. Sending you positive vibes for a more comfortable summer ~ Suzanne.

  6. My sentiments exactly about savouring every minute of summer. That is my favourite quote by William Carlos Williams and I put it on a stepping stone and wind chimes in my backyard.

  8. North Texas broke records 2 days in a row with 109 temps, but finally a "cool spell" and "only" in high 90s today! But, no rain since June 3, so it's like a dry sauna out there. My tip for the 1st photo with sparse plant ~ i've gotten "hooked" on little plastic succulents (only $1-$3) and stick 1 or 2 into the base of potted plants that need a little filling in. They look real and make a big difference. Dollar Tree and Walmart have them.

    1. I feel for you, Cindy. Seeing 109° on the thermometer would put me over the edge! As for my 'sparse plant', there is a little back story to it. I had a beautiful, lush pothos plant for some 10+ years now that I carefully tended to. For some unknown reason, it started dying and no amount of extra love and care seemed to help. I finally gave up the battle and let her go, but repotted some of her clippings into other pots and this happens to be one of them. Yes, it may be a bit sparse right now, but I have high hopes that she will grow and thrive like her mother before her. Sending you good wishes for cooler temps and rain ~ Suzanne.

    1. Yes, Tanya - It looks like most of the country is in the midst of triple H weather. I say that you might as well enjoy it while it's here. Sending you cool thoughts ~ Suzanne.
