Welcome to Saturday Sparks 705!
Starting off today's party with a risky move!
I held off jumping into the sourdough trend for good reason.
The temptation of this oh-so delicious crusty bread can be hard to resist.
A long, cold, snowy winter broke me and yes, I caved and am now in my sourdough era.
Give me strength.

ReplyDeleteHappy to host, Estelle! All my best ~ Suzanne.
DeleteI've tried with sourdough several times, but never quite succesful. Now making soda breads when I don't have time :) Happy weekend!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Mariama! I've had some missteps along the sourdough journey, myself. Enjoy your soda breads ~ Suzanne.
DeleteThanks for another fun party Suzanne. I have resisted the sourdough craze as well. I live in the heart of sourdough and I know there's no going back once you start. I'm glad you enjoyed my heart topiary vignette and I appreciate the feature. Happy Valentine's Day! XO- MaryJo
ReplyDeleteHappy to feature you, MaryJo! Your entryway looks so inviting dressed for Valentine's Day. You are so right that there is no going back when it comes to sourdough. 😁 Have a great week ~ Suzanne.
DeleteThank you so much for featuring my upcycled paper, Suzanne. My husband is the bread-maker in our house. I may need to encourage him to try some sourdough!
ReplyDeleteYour upcycled paper post really got my creative wheels spinning, Ann! I say yes, that you should get your husband to jump on the sourdough wagon. Many smiles ~ Suzanne.

Delete"Give me strength" - that made me laugh 😂🤣
ReplyDeleteSourdough is pretty easy once the starter is ready.
You can do this! Have a funtastic week ahead 👨🍳
Thanks, Val & Holland! The starter is definitely the hardest part. Well, that and the willpower to not eat myself into a bread coma. 😁 Have a great week ~ Suzanne.
DeleteSuzanne, thank you for the feature! And thank you for the added features. Oh my, Ann's upcycled paper guide is wonderful (pinned). I can't to hear all the ways you start enjoying your sourdough. I happen to have a great source (my plumber's wife!) who started a small business of this, and I find her at our Capitol Market. Her jalapeno and cheddar bread and pretzels are to die for! Happy Valentine's week to you.
ReplyDeleteYour tablescape looks so romantic, Rita! I agree that Ann's upcycled paper tutorial is a keeper, for sure. How nice to have the bread baker in your market. Sounds like she's got a fan in you. Happy
DeleteFebruary, my friend ~ Suzanne.
How spooky, I mentioned my sour dough in the preamble to my Handmade Monday link up this week too! I agree, the biggest problem with it is it tastes too good!
ReplyDeleteThey say great minds think alike, you know! 😊 There is nothing better than home baked bread and yes, it's far too tempting. Wishing you a lovely week ~ Suzanne.
DeleteSuzanne, my beloved mother kept us supplied with sourdough bread. After she passed away, I decided for the same reason you delayed, I was quite sure that I would eat too much! Thank you for hosting and wishing you a wonderful week, my friend!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Pam! Sourdough (or pretty much any home baked bread) really tests your willpower. I'm sure the aroma of freshly baked sourdough must bring back fond memories of your mother. Have a wonderful week, my friend ~ Suzanne.
