Perseverance Macramé Wall Hanging

Continuing my macramé journey with this newest wall hanging.  I have named her 'Perseverance'.

The name seemed fitting as I debated whether to finish or not several times throughout the process of making her, but I persevered.

I was having issues with the cord. It was supposed to be a 5mm rope, but was much thicker than that - more like 9mm.

My solution was to separate the 3 ply rope and use the strands individually.

The cording also had an almost rough feel that didn't thrill me at first, but I eventually grew to love.

I think the imperfections of the rope give the overall piece a more natural and organic look.

And the texture is amazing!
