Welcome to Saturday Sparks 507!
Starting off today's party with an old friend!
The deer that normally visit us throughout the year all but vanished this past winter.
We assume that our heavy snows pushed them away to an area with a better food source.
Warmer temperatures and rain have melted most of our snow this past week and with that the deer have returned.
This yearling was a frequent visitor all last year.
Its fearless attitude and darker coat make it stand out.
While the rising sun ushers the others into the woods, this one lingers seemingly without a care in the world.
First up, the Fabulous Features from Saturday Sparks 506.

Thank you so much for featuring my DIY Easter place card holders, Suzanne! Old Man Winter brought us another snowstorm last night just as a reminder that here in the Canadian prairies, winter isn't over! 😥
ReplyDeleteLoved your Rae-Dunn Inspired place card holders, Marie! You always come up with the cutest ideas. Sorry to there that you are still getting hit with snow. I think like us, the good news is that it doesn't last long this time of year. Stay warm my friend, Suzanne.
DeleteI love deer in the yard! They would visit us on the coast of upper WA state, and were regular visitors when we moved to MT, but now visit at night. I often see their footprints in the snow...
ReplyDeleteSeeing deer is a blessing, Melynda. Happy to know that you enjoy them as we do. They are elusive and mostly visit us in the night as well. Have a wonderful week, Suzanne.
DeleteSuch a sweet deer! I love to see them around.
