DIY Vintage Well House

As promised, I am sharing darling hubby's latest project - a DIY Vintage Well House - dressed in full fall attire.

DIY Vintage Well House at Pieced Pastimes

We have a drilled well here - with the standard pipe casing that sticks out of the ground a foot or so. It serves it's purpose but isn't the prettiest thing to look at.

Darling hubby knew it could be so much better. With a vision in mind, materials were gathered and the sawing and hammering began.

Rocks were gathered and used to build a stone foundation to support the new/old structure.

Weathered barn board, galvanized roofing and a knot filled log were used in the build along with a discarded wheel hub, an old rusty bucket and some worn rope.

Items that most would consider junk are placed back into service for a new unexpected journey.

'Live edge' boards were used for the top of the base, instilling a bit more character.

And just like that, my secret garden view has been taken up a notch.
